Animatics and Storyboards

Here are some examples of animatics and storyboards I’ve completed for projects. Some are in very rough draft states and some are more polished but all were for the purpose of gaining input and endorsement from stakeholders.

Animatics

Animatics are a good in-between way to make sure I’m on the same page as stakeholders with how we want to final animation to turn out. At this stage I can more easily make changes to the timing or the design. I find rougher sketched animatics using the storyboards to be the most efficient method. These also contain voiceover for timing.

Storyboards

Sketched storyboards are a great way for me to iterate on designs and throw big picture ideas without committing too much. Storyboards generally go through many revisions and I meet with stakeholders to talk through the vision, leaving lots of room for input an collaboration.
